Pianist Vocalist at Franco & Ita’s East Lodge Derbyshire Wedding

Pianist Vocalist East Lodge Derbyshire Wedding

“We are looking for a pianist vocalist!” said Franco. “I am a pianist. But do you sing too?” This was the start of our first conversation.

Last night, I finally got to perform at Franco and Ita’s wedding at East Lodge Hotel in Derbyshire. The award-winning hotel was very impressive. The service was excellent too. However, after so many courses, the Italian-themed wedding breakfast had run way over schedule.

Guests eventually made their way out to the lounge. I imagine there were about 20 people. The weather outside was pretty shocking but inside we already had a few dancers!

The bride and groom wanted a professional pianist vocalist to play specific piano & vocal versions. These included songs by the Rat Pack, Billy Joel, U2, Eagles, Killers, Coldplay, etc. They also wanted some familiar Irish and Italian songs and then requests on the night.

Franco played piano during my breaks including a great version of Video Killed The Radio Star. He could be a pianist vocalist after all. It was non-stop!! Desidero per voi tutta la felicità di questo mondo! xx

Pianist Vocalist at Jamie and Liz’s Wedding at Heaton House Farm, Derbyshire

I was delighted to return to the fantastic wedding venue that is Heaton House Farm on Friday to perform at Liz and Jamie’s wedding.  With guests sitting back on sofas and armchairs, it was a very laid back affair in what became an intimate setting, more like playing at a family party in someone’s home. heaton_house_farm_wedding_pint_for_pianist
Mick and Sarah and the rest of the family-run team are full of enthusiasm and take great pride in all the things they can offer at Heaton House and are always looking for more ways to improve their service even further.
I look forward to my next wedding at Heaton House and wish Liz and Jamie all the very best…

Wedding Pianist & Singer at Clare & Anthony’s Wedding at Casterne Hall, Derbyshire

Clare and Anthony had visited my studio to discuss timings for the day in particular since I was playing during the arrival of guests, the actual ceremony and then the drinks reception. They had clear  ideas on how they wanted the day to run and had decided on the Coldplay instrumental “Postcards From Far Away” for Clare to walk in to. I was happy to learn this piece for them particulalry as Clare went to the trouble of sending me the sheet music.
The venue itself was quite high up in the hills with fantastic views all around and the weather was on our side. It was a great day for a lovely couple who clearly complement each other perfectly.
